World Models 101
World Models 101 was the first session of Vivax Academia — Türkiye's first academic course dedicated to world models, the architecture family behind JEPA, physical AI and the next generation of medical AI. The in-person session was held on 26 August 2026 at Boğaziçi Teknopark, Boğaziçi University Etiler Campus, Rumelihisarı Mah. Bebek Yolu Sk. No:2/5, İç kapı no: 108, Ataşehir/İstanbul.
In one evening the course moved from the intuition of why generative AI is not enough for machines that must act in the physical world to joint-embedding predictive models and latent-space prediction, then to what Vivax is building on this lineage: a unified clinical world model for medicine. The session was aimed at students, researchers, engineers and clinicians; no prior world-model knowledge was required. It has ended and registration is closed.
