Handing over your details is the whole point of a business card — but that does not mean giving up control. How a digital card handles publication, visitor privacy, and the right to change your mind.
A business card is voluntary self-publication: you decide what goes on it, and you hand it to people you chose to meet. A digital card keeps that principle, but adds something paper never had — the ability to change your mind later.

You publish exactly what you choose
A Vivax profile shows only the fields you filled in and switched on. Your account email, login credentials, and dashboard data are never part of the public page. A card can also be taken offline entirely — unpublish it and the link goes dark, something a thousand paper cards in circulation can never do.
Contact links are constrained to safe formats on the server side, so a profile is always a clean, predictable page — not arbitrary embedded content.
What visitors see — and what they don't
A person who taps or scans your card sees your public profile in their browser. They do not need an account, and no app is installed on their phone. The one-tap contact save hands them a standard vCard file — the same open format phones have used for decades.
What you learn about visitors
Your dashboard shows aggregate engagement: taps and views over time, so you know which meetings and events led to interest. Visitors on public card pages are not asked to hand over their identity just to view a profile — if someone wants to share their details back with you, they do it explicitly, through the exchange form or by booking a meeting.
On public card pages the analytics consent default is fully denied — no consent, no tracking, and no cookie banner noise on a page you are showing to a client.
Losing a card without losing control
If a physical card is lost, nothing sensitive is lost with it: the chip holds a link, not your data. You can update the profile behind it, or deactivate the card so the link stops resolving. This reversibility is the quiet privacy upgrade of digital cards — paper is forever, a profile is yours to govern.
