Your Business Card in Apple and Google Wallet — Why Passes Matter
— Vivax Business Card
The physical card can stay at home: a wallet pass puts your business card next to your boarding passes and payment cards, ready even when your phone is offline. Here is how wallet passes work and why they change daily networking.
The strongest argument for a wallet pass is a simple scene: you are at a dinner, your cards are in your other jacket, and someone asks for your details. If your business card lives in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, you open it in two gestures and they scan it — done.
Vivax cards can be added to both wallets directly from your profile. The pass carries your branding, your name and role, and a QR code that opens your live profile or shares your contact details.
What a wallet pass actually is
A pass is a small signed package your phone's wallet app stores locally: card art, text fields, and a barcode. Because it is stored on the device, it opens instantly — no network needed to display it. The QR on a Vivax pass is designed to work even offline, encoding a compact vCard so a scan can still deliver your contact details in places with no signal.
Passes stay in sync
A printed card is frozen; a wallet pass is not. When you update your profile, Vivax pushes the change to issued Apple Wallet passes, so the pass in your pocket keeps up with your career. Passes also respect their own language setting, separate from the website language, so your pass can present itself in the language your contacts expect.
Wallet pass or physical card — which one when?
They are companions, not competitors. The physical NFC card is the premium first impression at planned meetings; the wallet pass is the always-available backup for everything unplanned. Most members use the card at events and the pass everywhere else.
Design-wise the two stay consistent: the pass colors follow your card's design, so the person who tapped your card yesterday recognizes your pass today.
Getting a pass
Pass creation is available on live Vivax cards — open your profile, choose Add to Wallet, and your phone does the rest. The physical cards themselves are currently sold out in Türkiye; if you would like one, contact us through the business page and we will notify you when they return.
